Has Netflix Renewed The Five Juanas for Season 2?
The Five Juanas has only produced a single-season order upfront, and accurate now, it is yet too quick for Netflix to pull the trigger on a 2nd season just yet. We typically have to wait 1-3 months after the series releases for official approval, which will surely come from the Netflix account.
The most excellent Spanish literature sources assume that a second season is on the cards but none had any specific plans from the showrunners or cast valued.
What does the data say?
While it had a plodding start on Netflix’s top 10s it did slowly grow up around the world on the top 10s but seems to have topped at the number 4 most excellent show on Netflix on October 15th, 2021.
In Mexico, where the show is produced, the series has given 12 days in the top 10s as of publishing and averaging position number 6.
Netflix US also attended the series appearing in the top 10s two days after it appeared on Netflix. It peaked at position number 6 on the TV charts and number 5 overall. It fell out of the top 10s entirely in the US on October 16th.
The series has climbed up the charts on IMDb after its release and currently sits for the week closing on October 17th, 2021. The week the series was released it was sitting at 492.
The logic we consider the data is that it usually drives the decision behind replacing a show. A show being in the Netflix top 10s in any domain for 28 days we have seen is a surefire method to get renewed.
It looks like The Five Jaunes while having a slow start, is gaining legs worldwide.
Our verdict is that The Five Juanas may return for season 2.
The biggest question going into season 2 is what exactly will occur to Victor. Victor had a complete 180 on his character arc but it is unclear what his future is, and SectorCine still speculates he could be the main villain in season 2.
As you’ll know, if you have now ended watching the show, the conclusion of season 1 sets up a second season. They also speculate that there may be a 6th Juana out there in the wild, which could be Victor’s daughter.
