Texas Chainsaw Obesity hits Netflix in February. A trailer now gives the first taste of how the revival will handle the classic horror franchise.
Geeked’s official Netflix Twitter account shared the trailer today, December 4. He first sets the mood with footage of an empty dark house and a threatening clicking sound and connects the new film with the text, “In 1974, a horror legend was born. In 2022, the face of anger will return. “The rest of the video shows Leatherface preparing and scaring the faces of its victims, one of whom is caught in a basement while a chainsaw cuts the floor over him. . Eventually, the killer swings the person’s open face with his back to the camera.
Earlier, Netflix released a picture of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre villain Leatherface, played by Mark Burnham, thanks to a risky but recognizable chainsaw in hand.
The Renaissance is not a direct reboot or sequence. Still, it follows the same approach as the Halloween series, where the final film links directly to the original and ignores all subsequent episodes. In the case of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the original form 1974 is canon, while the other films in the collection include sequences, prequels, reboots, and an earlier attempt to create a new series with the original.
Fede Álvarez produced the project. Andy Tohil and Ryan Tohill were announced as directors in February 2020. Still, they left the following August due to creative differences that paved the way for David Blue Garcia to direct the film.
While many horror fans have been waiting a long time for the story of the first Texas Chainsaw massacre, not everyone agrees. “Texas Chainsaw Obesity is one of the movies of its time,” said Ted Nicolaou. He was part of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s soundtrack in the 1970s. But I have to say that if one makes the aesthetic application of some horror film into something so unique in a modern way, I never think it can beat the original. ”
Massacre Chainsaw Texas is an exclusive Netflix and its dismal premiere on February 18, 2022.
