After participating in several Hollywood blockbusters ( X-Men: Days of Future Past, Jurassic World …), the French actor landed the lead role in a Netflix original creation alongside Vincent Londez.
Omar Sy will play Assane Diop, a young man who was traumatized by the death of his father. The latter died in prison after being wrongly accused of a robbery he did not commit. Assane never recovered from her past and for several years she planned her revenge on the inspiration of her favorite hero: Arsène Lupine.
His goal is to work at the Louvre as a janitor. This position will allow him to carry out his plan to steal a priceless necklace. The trailer reveals a very well-done series with impressive action scenes!
Lupine is entirely directed by Louis Leterrier (Elusive), which explains why Assane magically removes the handcuffs in front of a stunned police officer in tow.
As of now, the release date for Season 2 has yet to be announced. Fiction has been classified on Netflix in the category “series”, this means that a sequel is quite possible (it may have already been filmed). The “miniseries” has almost no chance of being renewed, but fortunately, this is not the case with Lupine.
