Eternals star Kit Harington says he doesn’t know if his character, Dane Whitman/Black Knight, was one of those who disappeared in Avengers: Infinity War before being “cut” again in Avengers: Endgame. However, he suspects that Dane escaped alive.
In an interview with The Playlist, Harington was asked if Marvel Studios ever told him if Dane was one of Thanos’ many victims. “They didn’t, and I never asked,” Harington replied. “This is bad form on my part. That’s inadequate preparation. I don’t think he was there. I think it was there, and it stayed there. That’s the decision I’m making now.”
Harington revealed earlier this year that he wasn’t sure about Marvel’s plans for The Dark Knight. “I have no idea if my character will continue or not,” the actor said. “I had asked around who it could be or could be. So, there is the possibility of a longer lead time. And I hope this is just the tip of the iceberg for my character.
I hope it is. But I don’t know, you know? I’m just as ignorant as everyone else. And I try not to live too distant into the future at all. Even when I was on Game of Thrones, even in season six, I assumed that season seven wasn’t coming!”
As for Blip himself, a recent promo for Eternals reveals that the heroes are on the hunt for their former enemies, the Deviants, who was able to bring them back after the Avengers canceled Thanos’ snap-in Endgame.
