Vin Diesel’s ten commentators, all disguised as Dom Toretto from the Fast and Furious series, gathered on Donut Media’s YouTube channel to celebrate a bizarre video honoring the character’s love of “Family.”
The tribute, which ended at the end of a two-hour YouTube live stream, features Diesel imitators all standing in line, crossing their arms and singing “Family” together over and over again. Each Diesel wears the Dom Toretto from the Fast franchise. Their uniforms consist of black shirts, tinted sunglasses, and crosses hanging around their necks. The imitators sing the word precisely 100 times – a total of 1,000 “families” – in honor of the character’s love for his band of robbers.
Donut Media hosted live streaming, a channel known for producing car content. While most of the live stream was primarily focused on cars, Diesel imitators added where they could, teaming up to emulate the extra lines of the Fast and Furious saga. The types of Diesel also reunited for a Vin Diesel fashion show where all Diesel went on the runway in front of an audience of their Diesel colleagues.
Dominic Toretto’s devotion to the family has inspired several Furious memes over the years, with fans generally screaming how many times Diesel’s character has developed the concept. Dom’s love for the family had even pushed the boundaries of the franchise, as when a video game mod turned Diesel into a Sith Lord in Star Wars: Battlefront II, or when Diesel took out The Lizard in the recently released volume. – Spider-Man: No Way Home Notice.
Diesel made headlines earlier this year when he launched a passionate social media appeal to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to get involved in the cast of Fast and Furious 10. After a very public confrontation with Diesel during the production of The Fate of 2017 The Furious, Johnson separated from the headset, Fast, would rather be the star of the 2019 spin-off Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw. In an Instagram post, Diesel expressed a desire to put his knowledge of Johnson aside for the film, writing: “No one else can play Hobbs. I hope you do the event justice. And fulfill your destiny.”
This year’s F9 sequel, Fast and Furious 10, is the first part of the latest two-part franchise. While Deisel anxiously awaits the end of the main story, he hopes that Furious World will continue to exist “for generations to come” in the form of by-products, including a fully-fledged female product that is actively evolving.
