Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal on Naha Dhupia’s Show
She thinks that she did equal work like Amitabh Bachchan and she should also be recognized in the film, but she feels that it is such a male-dominated industry and the people do not even realize that she might have done more work.
The film was totally called Amitabh sir’s film, but even Taapsee Pannu had a major part in the movie, and she also had much more scenes than Amitabh Bachchan. Taapsee had addressed a similar controversy around the release of her recent film, Mission Mangal, whose marketing had highlighted Akshay’s presence more than the five other female actors in the ensemble.
The actress also sparked controversy after suggesting that Anil Kapoor’s son Harsh Kapoor does not deserve more chances after delivering two box office bombs. She thinks that it would have been difficult to get a second film if she were in his place.
The actress seems to have been getting frustrated because her hard work is not getting paid off even after giving hit movies. She actress deserves some respect and recognition in the industry. The directors and the producers should also see the efforts made by the female actresses in the industry. In a country like India, these things should not happen especially in the Bollywood industry
