As part of Kevin Hart’s ongoing release on Netflix, the streamer has acquired a unique script called Lift, which will produce a movie with Hart. The film becomes a predatory comedy based on what has been revealed so far. Here’s our current look at everything we know about Kevin Hart’s upcoming Lift movie on Netflix.
Netflix Elevator is directed by F. Gary Gray, known for producing films such as Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job, Men In Black: International, The Negotiator, Set it Off, and many music videos featuring various artists. Dan Kunka writes Lift’s manuscript.
The film also has many well-known producers. Lift producers are Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Pictures, Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan for 6th & Idaho, and Hart and Brian Smiley for HartBeat Productions. Here’s everything we know about Netflix’s elevator:
What is the plot of the elevator?
In addition to the connecting line provided by Netflix, the story is largely hidden. Here’s the official Netflix line: Kevin Hart will play a thief who flirts with his ex-girlfriend and the FBI to carry out a meager robbery on a 777 from London to Zurich with his international crew.
Who participates in the Lift?
From October 2021, only Kevin Hart will be known as part of the Netflix Lift cast. By balancing Hart between his acting and acting career, Hart recently starred in Jumanji and its successors with Dwayne Johnson.
Most notably, Kevin Hart signed an agreement with Netflix (which to a large extent has been compared to Adam Sandler’s deals) in January 2021 to produce four exclusive Netflix movies through production company HartBeat.
On Netflix, you will find several titles with Kevin Hart in the foreground in front of the elevator. These include his two specialties, the children’s series Guide to Black History and the excellent film Fatherhood, released on Netflix in the summer of 2021.
What is the production status of the Lift?
Filming on Netflix Lift begins in February 2022. It will primarily take place in Northern Ireland, according to a production list from ProductionWeekly.
What is the release date of Netflix for Lift?
Netflix has not set a release date for The Lift, but it would be reasonable to expect a release date in late 2022 or early 2023.
