Danny DeVito will revisit Penguin with Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Tim Burton

Danny DeVito wants to repeat his iconic role as the Penguin in the direct sequel to Tim Burton’s 1992 film Batman Returns, starring Michael Keaton as Batman and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.

“I have a feeling the penguin might come back one day, but it’s just a question of whether Tim will do it or not,” DeVito told Forbes. “I would say it could be an opportunity because we are not dead yet (laughs). We could make a sequel to what we had before because it was a great movie. This opportunity and I are very much appreciated, and I would love to “visit again? Why not! It was a great time for me. ”

Whether DeVito revisits the Penguin on the big screen is still unknown. Still, the actor has just written a cartoon story directed at a DC supervillain. Entitled “Bird Cat Love,” DeVito’s story appears in the 100-page 100-page anthology of Gotham City Villains’ 100th anniversary, recently published by DC. The story revolves around a love story between The Penguin and Catwoman.

Michael Keaton will repeat his role as Batman in the upcoming DC movie The Flash, so there is no doubt whether DeVito’s Penguin can appear in the DC multiverse. Meanwhile, Colin Farrell stars in Matt Reeves’ next film, The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as Caped Crusader and Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman. DeVito shared his thoughts on Farrell becoming a penguin in the latest Batman adaptation, saying, “I love Colin Farrell. He’s one of my favorite actors. Can’t wait!”

Unlike Penguin DeVito, who played a significant role in the Batman Burton sequel, Farrell recently announced that he does not have much screen time in Batman. “I’m only there in five or six scenes [like a penguin], so I can not wait to see the movie because my presence will not spoil it,” he said. “It’s a gift to me. I’m going to feel a little uncomfortable over the damn nine minutes I have and all. I can’t wait to see [writer/director Matt Reeves] see this world alive.” Yup. ”

Burgess Meredith was the first person to play a DC supervillain in the 1960s television program Batman. Robin Lord Taylor recently played a young penguin in the Fox series Gotham.
