Netflix Extraction 2 everything you need to know.

Netflix’s most famous movie, Extraction, is coming back with a sequel! Chris Hemsworth is back to reprise his role as Tyler Rake, and filming will begin soon. Below we’ll keep you updated with everything you need to know about Extraction 2, including cast news, production updates, trailers, and a release date on Netflix.

As the most successful Netflix original movie of all time, it’s no surprise that a sequel is in the works. With over 99 million households watching the film on streaming, it has surpassed films like Bird Box, Murder Mystery, and 6 Underground.

Sam Hargrave returns to direct alongside the Russo brothers, who are executive producers on the film. However, only Joe Russo is credited with writing the story.

What is the production status of Extraction 2?

Originally, Extraction 2 was supposed to be shot in Sydney, Australia. Still, due to Covid restrictions, the production was moved to Prague, Czech Republic.

Chris Hemsworth also confirmed on his Instagram account that filming is now scheduled for late November 2021.

What is the plot of Extraction 2?

Tyler Rake is back after narrowly surviving severe injuries during his mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and his team is ready to tackle their next assignment. Tasked with rescuing a family from a Georgian gangster, Tyler enters one of the world’s deadliest prisons. But when the escape escalates and the gangster dies in the heat of the moment, his equally ruthless brother Rake and his team track down Sydney for revenge.

Who are the cast members of Extraction 2?

The only confirmed cast member is Chris Hemsworth, who will reprise his role as Tyler Rake at the time of writing.

When is Extraction 2 coming to Netflix?

If filming goes as planned, Extraction 2 will arrive on Netflix in the second half of 2022. More specifically, in July or August 2022, Netflix will likely release Extraction 2 as a big summer movie.
