The past few months had been very hard for Selena Gomez and have probably affected almost every area of her life. She has been suffering from issues regarding her health as well as other problems like Lupus, HBP, etc.
In a new interview with Giving Back Generation, Serena revealed that Lupus is the primary reason for her weight gain and it is challenging to cope up with if one has to keep up with a free lifestyle.
“It depends on even the month, to be honest, so for me, I noticed when people started attacking me for that, got to me big time. That messed me up for a bit.” Gomez added.
Gomez has taken a firm decision to leave social media for a while briefly. Nowadays, she hardly checks her timeline.
”I am pleased with living my life and being present because that’s it. Similar to me posting a photograph and then walking away, I will do a red carpet, and I will do whatever; I do not need to see it; I participated; I felt wonderful, and that’s where the extent of it is. I don’t care to expose myself to everyone and hear what they have to say.” – Gomez added in regard to her earlier decision.
Also, she is hopeful that many others will also follow this concept. According to her, so many beautiful girls and different amazing characters are demolished by an image that they are trying to chase.
“They are expecting me to be a completely different person, but that’s not what’s inside of them,” she shares. She admits that she also has become a victim of social media.
However, she admits that she won’t be able to go through this hard time without her friends and her never-ending faith.
