Celine Dion took to Instagram to pay homage to her late father whom she always remembered with fond words. Fans loved the honest throwback, but the fact that Celine looked almost unrecognizable in the old photo just swept the internet.
The image was posted as a sort of celebration of the legendary Celine music and her vinyl collection with the caption, “Today at #VinylRecordDay, we’re bringing it back to our first ever Vinyl Celine in English and French! Any vinyl in your collection – Team Celine!”
The photo showed Celine’s father wearing a wide smile and holding a vinyl record of Celine. As Celine showed but the person people know and love now. The little Celine photo was almost completely unrecognizable and fans were scratching their heads about how much the legendary singer has changed over the years.
Celine’s father passed away in 2003 but over the years Celine has maintained that her father and all his teachings and values he gave her were instrumental in her success.
This isn’t the first time Celine has shared a tribute to her late father on social media. In the past, Celine remembered her father on social media with the following words, “Papa, I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have given birth to a father like you. You will always be my number one fan. I love you!” This caption accompanied a black and white photo of Celine with her father.
Celine is the mother of three children, all of whom are boys. The singer shared children with her late husband, Rene Angelil, who passed away of cancer. Celine is the mother of twins Nelson and Eddie, who are both 11 years old, while her third child, Rene Charles, grew up at 21.
Speaking of motherhood, Celine said “I think we are very fortunate to have the opportunity and the blessing to be a mother. I think when you have a child, it is as if there is another heart growing inside of you. You have such a second heart.”
