Hellbound creator Yeon Sang-ho has in a new interview revealed his collaboration with Netflix in the first season of the series and a possible second season.
“I say it’s true, I really enjoyed working with Netflix,” Sang-ho told Variety. “They really came out of it and connected to my creative vision, but they also created an environment where I did not have to think about anything other than focusing on my creativity in relation to sales, or when or how the show took place. ”
The show’s creator added that the second season would be heavily inspired by Hellbound’s original network, noting: “… my partner Choi Kyu – Seok and I decided to tell the story first. Via the web and if we want to make it another live action series for further discussion. ”
“As you know, we released the first season of Hellbound, so we did not have time to discuss this issue with Netflix,” he said. “So I want to say that this is something we need to discuss further.”

Based on Sang’s 11-minute-long Hellbound Webtoon, season 1 of the Netflix series adaptation of an alternate reality version of Earth takes place, where supernatural beings suddenly appear and begin to drag people to hell. The first three episodes focus on Detective Jin Kyung-hun and New Truth President Jung Jin-Su. Episodes 4-6 emerge five years later and shift to a production manager named Bae Young-Jae, who analyzes to come to terms with the fact that hell is in store for her newborn.
