Fans have discovered a possible relationship between Doctor Octopus and Iron Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
A Twitter user noted that an image highlighting Alfred Molina’s return as Doctor Octopus to No Way Home shows Doc Ock looking different. In the past, the tentacles of the rogue zodiac were cast from metal and silver, reflecting their industrial origins. However, the new version of Doc Ock’s add-ons shows that they will be red and gold at some point in the movie. This combination of colors is the hallmark of Iron Man’s armor, suggesting that Tony Stark’s legacy could continue to haunt Peter Parker.
Ever since Spider-Man made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War, he has been closely associated with Iron Man: Tony’s influence has been a central theme in MCU Spider-Man’s first two films. With Spidey wearing the Iron Spider armor at No Way Home, it looks like Stark will continue to be essential to be the hero, so it’s no surprise that he’s backing another Spider-Man villain.
After Tony’s death, Doctor Strange seems to be the principal mourner in Spider-Man’s life. At the heart of No Way Home is the Supreme Sorcerer’s stunning connection to Multiverse, where his actions seem to break the walls of reality. His involvement also appears to bring Doctor Strange to the Multiverse of Madness, which will face real threats, as the name suggests. In a reversal of fate, former Spider-Man director Sam Raimi will direct the Strange sequel.
Although Doc Ock’s connection to Iron Man has not yet been confirmed, it would not be the only time Spider fans have been searching for important information before it was released. After the first trailer was released, viewers found the lizard hiding in the eyes. An Empire magazine advised Sandman on Sandman’s arrival. At the time, the two were considered ready to think things through. Still, the latest information seems to support the appearance of Sandman and Lizard and shows that the fans were right from the start.
With No Way Home arriving in the original Spider-Man movies to find the bad guys, audiences wonder if he will bring back the old Peters. Recent footage from the set suggests that the film will reconsider Andrew Garfield’s hiding place from Amazing Spider-Man. In addition, a garment by the Dutchman Peter Parker is identical to that of Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 3.
Whether these rumors lead to something or not, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be one of the hottest tickets of the winter when it hits theaters on December 17th.
