Mirzapur Season 2 does not possess a very long wait remained now. The crime drama sequel stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, & Shweta Tripathi.
On the first anniversary of its launch, Amazon Prime Video revealed the initial look of the upcoming season of Mirzapur — the crime drama series features Pankaj Tripathi (Kaleen Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu Bhaiya), Divyendu Sharma (Munna), Shweta Tripathi (Gajgamini), and Rasika Dugal (Beena Tripathi) — and substantiated that the show would come back in 2020. *Spoiler alert* Vikrant Massey (Babloo) and Shriya Pilgaonkar (Sweety) also starred in Mirzapur Season 1, but their characters were killed off by Munna Tripathi in the finale.
Mirzapur Season 2 was officially shown green light back in February 2019, at the 2019 Television Critics Association press tour in California.
The new 20-second, Mirzapur Season 2 teaser holds two funeral pyres and is narrated by Akhandanand “Kaleen Bhaiya” Tripathi (Pankaj Tripathi), who states: “Jo Aaya hai, vo jaayega Bhi, bas marzi hamaari hogi [Those who come, will go as well, but it will be on our terms].”
It is unclear how Mirzapur season 2 will continue, but we’re sure that the story will dive deep into the mafia. It’s anticipated that in the new season, Guddu will take revenge against the Tripathi family after his wife Sweety and his brother Babloo are killed by Munna Tripathi. Also, Guddu us under the radar of Sharad (Anjum Sharma) as he shot his father, Rati Shankar Shukla (Shubrajyoti Bharat). Well, let’s see how it goes.
As we stated, Mirzapur season 2 will launch in 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.
