The new Matrix Resurrection sequel announces the next full movie trailer

A new trailer for The Matrix Resurrections is coming very soon.

Warner Bros. has released a new promo. And HBO Max for The Matrix Resurrections confirms the release of the next full trailer for the film tomorrow, December 6th. The 27-second movie released today features new footage from the upcoming Matrix Saga movie. (will likely also appear in tomorrow’s trailer), including a clear kiss between Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss). It also fails “which is not the most important decision in Neo’s life.”

Directed and co-written by Lana Wachowski, Matrix Resurrections is the fourth episode in the Matrix film series. With her sister Lilly Wachowski, Lana wrote and produced The Matrix, released in 1999 and intended to define a generation of action movies. The Wachowskis then returned to write and direct two sequences, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, released in 2003.

Lilly Wachowski is not involved in The Matrix Resurrections, making it the first film in the series to be directed exclusively by Lana Wachowski. The latter co-wrote the screenplay for David Mitchell and Aleksandar Hemon. Neo Resurrections (aka Thomas A. Anderson) takes place 20 years after the events of the Revolutions. At the same time, his mind reopens to the Matrix world.

In addition to Reeves, who repeats his role as Neo and Moss by repeating his role as Trinity College, Resurrections alumni see the Matrix trilogy Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson, and Daniel Bernhardt in Niobe, The Merovingian and Agent Johnson, respectively. Hugo Weaving is not expected to repeat his role as Agent Smith. Laurence Fishburne is not likely to reprise his role as Morpheus. However, Morpheus will appear in the film now with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the lead role. Similarly, Priyanka Chopra Jonas takes on the part of Sati, played initially by Tanveer K. Atwal.

Speaking of newcomers to the franchise: Resurrections Jessica Henwick plays Bugs, and Eréndira Ibarra is Lexy. Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Ricci, Telma Hopkins, Max Riemelt, Toby Onwumere, Brian J. Smith, Andrew Caldwell, and Ellen Hollman have been cast in unknown roles.
