Following the record-breaking performance of the crime thriller His & Hers on Netflix, the production team behind the series is reuniting to adapt another Alice Feeney novel. The new project, titled Twist, serves as a spiritual follow-up to the 2026 hit, which dominated viewership charts globally shortly after its debut.
His & Hers, which premiered on January 8, 2026, became a massive success for the streaming platform, recording 104 million views in the first half of the year alone. That series set a high bar for Feeney’s adaptations, establishing a significant audience for the author’s specific brand of psychological suspense.

A New Tale of Deception
The upcoming adaptation of Twist centers on a flight attendant named Ariella. In a plot that mirrors the complex narrative layers of Feeney’s previous work, Ariella leads a secret double life, maintaining separate households and relationships with two different husbands. The story explores the friction and eventual collision of these two worlds.
The television development is moving forward ahead of the source material’s public release. Alice Feeney’s novel Twist is currently scheduled for publication in February 2027. This preemptive move by the production team suggests a strategy to maintain the momentum generated by the viewership records set earlier in 2026.
The production lineup for Twist retains the same creative infrastructure that launched His & Hers. The project is being developed by Fifth Season in collaboration with Jessica Chastain’s Freckle Films and Tessa Thompson’s Viva Maude. Campout Productions is also attached to the project.
While the production team is confirmed, official casting for the roles of Ariella and her husbands has not yet been announced. This project is distinct from other Feeney adaptations currently in the pipeline, such as the long-gestating Rock Paper Scissors, further expanding the author’s footprint on the streaming service.
