October 2026 marks a significant pivot for the Hallmark Channel as it bridges the gap between autumn aesthetics and the start of the holiday season. The network’s schedule for the month is divided between the final premieres of the “Fall into Love” programming event and the official launch of the 17th annual “Countdown to Christmas.”
The transition begins with the conclusion of the fall lineup, featuring two final premieres that lean into seasonal themes. On Saturday, October 3, Julie Gonzalo and James Trevena star in “A Knight to Remember,” where Gonzalo plays Emily Porter opposite Trevena’s Sir Griffin de Beauford. The autumnal festivities wrap up on Saturday, October 10, with “The Spirit of Halloween,” featuring Meghan Ory and Kevin McGarry in a lead-up to the October 31 holiday.

The 2026 holiday lineup features a massive programming slate, including 34 brand new original movies, with new premieres scheduled to air every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the remainder of the year.
The “Countdown to Christmas” Kickoff
The first holiday premiere of the year, “‘Tis the Season for Setups,” debuts on Friday, October 16. Starring Amanda Schull and Victor Webster, the film serves as the official kickoff movie for the “Countdown to Christmas” franchise.
