Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have officially scheduled the digital release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day for October 6, 2026. The film, which serves as a major new chapter for Peter Parker following the events of the previous Tom Holland trilogy, will be available for digital purchase and rental on major VOD platforms, including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home.
The transition to home viewing occurs approximately 88 days after the film’s theatrical debut on July 10, 2026. This timeline aligns with Sony’s established distribution strategy, maintaining a nearly three-month exclusive theatrical window before allowing fans to access the movie at home.

The digital rollout follows a dominant theatrical performance where the film surpassed the $1 billion mark at the global box office in August.
Streaming Roadmap: Netflix and Disney+
For viewers waiting to stream the film as part of a subscription service, the path for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is determined by existing licensing agreements. Under the current U.S. output deal, the film will head to Netflix first. This “Pay-1” window typically begins six to nine months after the initial theatrical release, suggesting a streaming debut on Netflix in early-to-mid 2027.
Following its exclusive run on Netflix, the film is slated to move to Disney+ for its “Pay-2” window. This arrangement is part of the 2021 agreement between Sony and Disney, which allows Disney-owned platforms to host Sony’s Marvel-related titles after their initial streaming window on Netflix concludes.
While regional digital release dates may vary slightly based on local theatrical windows, the October 6 date serves as the primary launch for the North American market.
