One person died after a cable car broke off and crashed to the ground in the Czech Republic.
The victim of Sunday’s accident on Mount Jested in the north of the country would be a guide. He was the only person in the cabin.
Fourteen people who were in a cabin traveling in the opposite direction were rescued by firefighters.
An investigation was launched into why the cabin fell apart in the popular tourist destination.
The cable route for the 1,012-meter (3,320 ft) high Jested Mountain near the town of Liberec uses two cabins, each manually operated by a staff member.
Last year, according to the newspaper Lidove Noviny, more than 210,000 people used the cable cars.
