Zayn Malik has “decisively” denied the assault on Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid.
The singer said TMZ the claims of hitting Yolanda Hadid are “false accusations”.
Zayn Malik did not address the allegations directly in a statement posted on Twitter, but asked for privacy and said he hoped for “healing for all involved.”
Yolanda has not yet commented in public.
Gigi Hadid also asked for privacy for herself and her daughter in a separate declaration given to E! News.
Zayn’s statement to TMZ reads: “I categorically deny hitting Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I refuse to provide further details and hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family problems privately.” .
In his post on Twitter, wrote: “I had agreed not to contest complaints arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner.
“Despite my efforts to bring us back to a peaceful family environment that will allow me to co-parent my daughter in the way she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press.”
Zayn and Gigi started dating in 2015 and had their baby Khai in 2020. TMZ reports they are no longer together.
In Gigi’s statement, her rep said she was “focused solely on the best for Khai”.
