Stranger Things 4 is not expected to be released on Netflix in 2020

The release date of Stranger Things 4 has not been announced yet, but according to the production schedule, it doesn’t seem like it will be released in 2020.

All the fans who are eagerly looking forward to watching Stranger Things 4 are probably going to be disappointed as most likely it will not be released next year. No one from the production team of Netflix or the series has made any announcement related to ruling out the release date in 2020, but the trend and working of the production do favor a date next year.

Stranger Things 4

According to the report by TV Line, the filming of Stranger Things 4 starts in January 2020, ending around August with eight episodes like the first and third seasons. According to this after August there are just four months of the year which is not enough for edits, re-shoots, promotions, and whatever else is required. It will take around six months to release Stranger Things 4 once the shoot wraps up.

Many anticipate the fourth season of the series to be out on Netflix for Christmas 2020, but it seems unlikely to get the whole season by then. A Christmas special might be possible though as there is going to be a full media tour like the previous time for which the entire team needs a lot of time after the shoot is over and edits are all done.

Like for the last season, there was a gap of seven months between the end of the production and the premiere of the season with production ending in November 2018 and the release of a full season in July next year. So a similar gap is expected this time too, which means it is going to be out in the spring of 2021. I think it will arrive by April being a good release time, but I along with others would be happy with it coming out as early as possible.

While waiting, there are many kinds of news going around about the season like according to TV Line the show is going to add four new characters this time and the title of the first episode of season 4 was also revealed by writers on Stranger Things Day, last week. It is named, “Chapter One: The Hellfire Club” which makes people think a lot about the meaning and new characters. Many fans also speculate that it goes into the Dark Phoenix theory.

So, the new season of Stranger Things won’t be added to Netflix next year probably and can be expected in 2021 around the springtime.

We will keep you updated with all the further information!
