Spider-Man: No Way Home The biggest revelations and secrets from the trailer

Spider-Man No Way Home The biggest revelations and secrets from the trailer

Between record-breaking teasers, prominent roles, the controversy over the latest photo leak, and the simple fact that Peter Parker is still Marvel’s iconic hero, the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer has aroused enormous interest. The third part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe story promises to make the most of it. It can serve as an essential bridge to the next part of Phase Four.

Now that the first full trailer has arrived, it does what fans have begun to expect: answers to a few questions, even style 17. There are many things to unpack in the footage, some of which are only visible for a few seconds.

Will No Way Home mention the origins of Spider-Man?

Details of how Peter Parker acquired his powers and mission from the MCU have not yet been released. Many of these are conscious as the Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man films contained great details on the subject. Holland’s Peter begins the trailer about his early years, starting with “after this spider bit me” in the post. There are no other details, but it gives fans a chance, for better or worse, to see a new version of the origin story.

Spider-Man takes his black suit – with a twist.

Spider-Man’s black suit plays a significant role in the new No Way Home trailer. It contains magical elements, especially magical runes on his right forearm. It is also accompanied by a Doctor Strange voice showing that bad guys need to be hunted. This suggests that the black dress is a gift from Strange or an old dress that Strange has updated with magic or memorabilia.

Strange and Spider-Man quarrel over the fate of the evil guys

Early rumors suggested that Doctor Strange intended to return the Spidey villains to their place in the Crusader universe, for characters like Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin killed in their respective Spider-Man movies and may have no desire. The return creates a problem. Spidey finally takes sides with his enemies and begins a fight with Strange as a result. The trailer contains a few more details, including Spidey’s attempt to steal the mysterious box. Strange confirms that “their fate” is to die in battle against Spider-Man, and that as long as they remain, they will be a threat to MCU.

J. Jonah Jameson is back

Although the download is concise, as is usually the case with MCU trailers, it gives a prominent picture of JK Simmons Jameson, who first played the character in the original 2002 Spider-Man, and whose appearance after the titles on The End of Spider-Man: Far From Home was a pleasant surprise for the fans. He is standing next to a Daily Bugle Van and is witnessing an attack from Jamie Foxx’s Electro.

Electro takes a costume that is more true to the cartoon.

Speaking of Electro, the trailer offers the best picture so far for the new version of Evil. It’s very different from Foxx’s last appearance as a character in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. His powers seem to come from a costume here, instead of the more fundamental physical change from the previous film. Electricity is yellow instead of blue. The effects give the unique visual impression of Electro’s yellow cap from the comics.

Willem Dafoe is the green elf again.

The No Way Home teaser made a big note when it introduced the iconic Goblin Pumpkin Bomb, specifically designed to match Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movie design. It was accompanied by a laugh that strangely resembled Willem Dafoe, leading to the theory that he would be back with the other villains. The new trailer confirms this not only with a photo of Dafoe’s pixie at full speed on his glider but also with a detailed – and threatening – a voice of the actor himself.

Another goblin could play in Spider-Man 3

Among the many flashing excerpts from the trailer, you will find a photo of a brunette figure riding on a version of Santa and firing bright green weapons of unknown type. It could be James Franco’s James Osborne from the Raimi movies or Danish De Haans Harry from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It could also be Dafoe’s helmetless pixie.
