Aside from John Kramer, there are plenty of Jigsaw apprentices in the Saw franchise, no less famous than Amanda Young. The latter stole the show from everyone else. Saw fans may have gotten used to Young’s background story and history, but since Saw debuted in 2004 and his many films have grown out of, remembering that one of his favorite characters could never hurt.
Amanda Young has a long history, from her contact with Jigsaw to her subsequent death in Saw III. He is the almighty power of nature. Some can attribute that honor to Shawnee Smith’s brilliant acting and haunted screen presence. For those in need of a makeover, here’s Amanda Young’s ingenious story in the Saw universe.
Saw
In 2004, Saw introduced Amanda as a self-destructive drug addict who John Kramer’s Jigsaw thoroughly tested. Earlier, Amanda had been falsely accused by Eric Matthews, a corrupt detective who manipulated evidence to establish false allegations that she had been linked to a drug-related investigation. She was eventually convicted of possession of drugs and heroin arrested in jail.
As Amanda suffers from severe withdrawal symptoms, she persuades Cecil to rob the clinic and steal the supply of methadone. During the riot, Jill Tuck has a miscarriage caused by Cecil. Amanda looks at the accident and panics, and Cecil leaves her, so Amanda retires to her hiding place. Shortly after, Amanda focuses on John Kramer, Jill’s ex-husband and the father of the misguided child. John picks it up, hangs it on a chair in an abandoned warehouse, and performs his awful test.
John Kramer puts a mechanical device to Amanda’s head, which the public will soon call a “reverse bear trap.” The device, equipped with a timer, hangs under Amanda’s upper and lower jaw. John Kramer then explains the nature of the survival test to Amanda via a TV screen showing the belly doll Billy. Amanda has 60 seconds to break free; To do this, he has to pull a wrench out of his colleague Donnie’s stomach, which is a few meters away – very nice – on the floor.
Eventually, after a long panic, Amanda kills Donnie and opens her stomach to find the key. Billy builds a red tricycle, congratulates Amanda, and tells her that he now knows how to enjoy life. Saw II
After the events in Saw, Amanda continues to thrive as John’s accomplice. Later in Saw II, after Amanda sees the test subjects fail one by one, the group enters another room and discovers a large hole filled with thousands of used syringes. Xavier, a fellow prisoner, grabs Amanda and throws her down the hole, telling her to find the antidote to a disease that hits her body and slowly kills her. Afraid and in pain, Amanda walks through the Xavier syringes – led, and suddenly throws stacks of needles – some of which have gone into her arms, legs, and legs.
Eventually, Amanda takes Eric Matthews son Daniel to John’s hiding place and returns to the abandoned house to trust Eric. Amanda dresses in a black cloak and pig mask and hides in the tub in the same bathroom where Adam and Gordon took their exams. When she arrives at her unconscious body, she appears to be attacked by an anesthesiologist. Amanda chains Eric to a pipe in the bathroom and lets him die.
Saw III
Saw III says Amanda has been working with John since the first movie. Instead of condemning her as a heroin addict, John allows her to confirm herself as an accomplice. John becomes Amanda’s surrogate father and learns her worldview and techniques for punishing the innocent.
Amanda is described as a person who overrides John’s work ethic by creating unavoidable traps that will kill the person, whether he completes the test or not. John Kramer, who is dying of cancer quickly, decides to take one last test to see if Amanda can continue her work. Left jealous of John fleeing from his love, Amanda takes action against Dr. Lynn Denlon, the kidnapped surgeon working on John.
When John confesses love to his ex-wife, Amanda gets angry and refuses to remove Lynn’s armband, which will kill her if John is right. After a heated argument, Amanda released Lynn in her stomach. This is Jeff Denlon, Lynn’s husband, who dropped Amanda around his neck. As she succumbs to his injuries, John expresses his sadness at having violated the purpose of his actions.
