Ruby Rose: Warner Bros responds to Batwoman’s claims

Warner Bros responded to Ruby Rose’s claims that there were poor working conditions on the Batwoman set.

The actress left the show, which started on the CW network in 2019 and airs on E4 in the UK after just one streak.

Writing on her Instagram story Wednesday, Rose posted a string of allegations of abuse, neglect, and poor working conditions.

Warner Bros said they didn’t hire Rose for a second season after receiving complaints about her behavior.

The company described Rose’s tale as a “revisionist story … aimed at the producers, the cast and crew, the network and the studio.”

“The truth is, Warner Bros Television had decided not to exercise its option to sign Ruby for Batwoman season 2 based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that have been extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all. those concerned, “a spokesperson told BBC News.

Rose previously indicated that she left the show due to a combination of on-set injuries and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on production.

For the second season, she was replaced by Javicia Leslie, who is currently also starring in the third.

However, Rose has now posted multiple allegations of Batwoman’s working conditions in a 10-page Instagram story, accusing several high-level figures of misconduct or abusive behavior.

She asked fans to “stop asking” if she would go back to that “horrible show”, adding, “I wouldn’t go back for any amount of money … nor have I stopped.

“They ruined [the character] Kate Kane and they destroyed Batwoman, not me. I followed orders and if I wanted to stay I would have to give up my rights. “

She said several people working on the production suffered serious injuries, including herself, a personal assistant, and a crew member who suffered third-degree burns.

Rose acknowledged that she “fought with the people on set”, but said it was because she “wanted security”.

He also accused his co-star Dougray Scott of yelling at women on set and “hurting a female stunt double.”

Responding to his claims in a statement, Scott told the media including The Wrap: “I absolutely and completely refute the defamatory and harmful claims made against me by [Rose]; they are entirely made up and never happened.
