New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been held on Wednesday because of an ankle injury.
The veteran rather sent a comment to a fan.
Some problems were rather caused by Jenkins for himself, although he wanted to defend his play.
“I can just do my job… R—–,” Jenkins tweeted in response to a fan criticizing his performance against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jenkins enrolled six combined tackles on Monday night but he missed yet another by conducting Boston Scott back after being juked.
Head coach Pat Shurmur was asked concerning the tweeting incident following Wednesday’s practice, and he voiced his displeasure.
“I was only made aware of it since I was going through the injury report, and he shouldn’t be tweeting through practice,” Shurmur said to the reporters gathered.
“In the event, the giants had any guts they’d cut him,” one soccer fan wrote in reaction to the story. “They don’t though.
” This was a frequent remark expressed on Twitter as numerous Giants fans said they wanted to watch that he would no longer be related to the team Jenkins cut.
Jenkins has one season remaining on his five-year, $62.5 million contract and will be a free agent after the 2020 season.
This is not the only incident involving Jenkins lately.
He also voiced his frustrations with defensive coordinator James Bettcher.
In his view, he was being used incorrectly.
“You’ve got to use your weapons.
I’m the only corner in the group which does not travel (with the opposing group’s top wide receiver),” Jenkins explained, per the New York Daily News.
“It’s common sense.
I’m on the side of the field all game.
I get 2 moves thrown my way.
All the corners in the league traveling.
Rabbit doesn’t travel anymore.”
Jenkins insulted former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor in 2016 following a game where the Giants won gave 131 yards and up to six catches into the former championships.
Jenkins wanted to make the point that the Giants played with coverage rather than man-to-man, which is why he believed Pryor was piling stats up.
“@TerrellePryor you a caterer for me, u really stinks,” Jenkins composed on Twitter at a since-deleted message.
Pryor opted to take the high road at the moment, saying that Jenkins was a” good corner” and a” solid defender.”
