AMC has announced the extension of the final episode of Talking Dead following the conclusion of The Walking Dead: World Beyond. It has been reported that Kim Dickens, who played against Madison Clark in seasons 1-4, will return as a regular star in the league with the announcement of season 8. Dickens will return in the second half of season 7 on April 17, 2022, a new AMC promo for him.
“If it was Mt. Deadmore, it would be Kim Dickens’ face. Madison Clark is a core character in TWDU – a heroic, complex person who becomes a warrior, then a force of convenience,” said Scott M. Gimple. Content Manager for the Walking Dead Universe. “Kim Dickens’ raw talent, strength and brilliance will bring TWDU’s electricity back and we could not be more willing to find it.”
Dickens’ Madison Clark was last seen in the fourth season of The Fear The Walking Dead in 2018, where she likely died after sacrificing herself to keep a horde of hikers away from her family. Although Madison appeared in a flashback in subsequent episodes, she has not appeared in the show since. Although the full potential of her role in season 7 is unclear, she will continue to arrive as a recurring character in the series until season 8. All-new episodes of Fear, the Walking Dead, will be available on AMC + a week earlier. The new episodes of season 7 arrive on April 10.
Season 7 will have a total of 16 episodes, with the first half of Fear the Walking Dead ending with the mid-season finale, episode 8, “Father.” Like the rest of season 7, the second half will follow the effects of Teddy’s (John Glover) nuclear explosion. Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) is the only genuinely successful character with a growing community. He decides who is to live and who is to die. Alicia, played by Alycia Debnam-Carey, suffers from a mysterious illness. She reluctantly takes over as head of Teddy’s alumni. While the hunt for the mythical father continues, Alicia Strand will declare war as new threats emerge in the continuing battle for the characters’ survival.
Fear the Walking Dead returns on April 17 with new episodes a week earlier on AMC +.
