At Paramount Pictures, there are some significant changes to the release date, with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and the upcoming Star Trek movie being delayed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts – the seventh live-action Transformers movie – has been postponed for a year and will be released in theaters on June 9, 2023.
Rise of the Beasts was initially scheduled for June 24. . 2022 The next Star Trek movie has been postponed for six months. It was formerly scheduled for release on June 9, 2023 (Rising of the Beasts). It will now be released in theaters on December 22, 2023.
Directed by Steven Cable Jr., Rise of the Beasts is the sequel to the 2018 Transformers Bumblebee prequel/restart movie. Rise of the Beasts takes place in the 1990s. It follows two archaeologists at the heart of a conflict involving three Transformers factions: Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons. Caple announced last month that production on the film was over.
Meanwhile, the next Star Trek movie will be the sequel to Star Trek Beyond, making it the fourth movie by producer J.J. in Abrams’ Star Trek restart series. Abrams-produced Star Trek 2009, Star Trek Into Darkness 2013, and Beyond 2016. He also directed the first two films, with Beyond running in place of Justin Lin. Abrams returns for Paramount’s next Star Trek movie to be directed by Matt Shakman of WandaVision.
Plans for a fourth film in the Abrams Star Trek franchise failed in 2018 when Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth left the project due to wage disputes. While the franchise stars hoped that the problem would be fixed and the film would return to orbit, Star Trek 4 was reportedly suspended in early 2019.
In April last year, however, a new one was officially added to the list. The movie Star Trek was released by Paramount. That said, it remains to be seen whether Pine and his Enterprise teammates from the previous 3 films will reprise their roles for this film.
